Be the DJ is provided by Be the DJ ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

The service

Be the DJ lets DJs run votes for their crowd through a QR code and show the results live on a screen or projector.

Subscription and payment

The first payment of €4.99 covers your first 2 months. After that the subscription renews automatically every month at the same price until you cancel. Prices include VAT. Payments are handled by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record, who also issue the receipts.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from the Subscription page in your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Fair use

Don't use the service for unlawful or offensive content, or try to get around the vote limits. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running, but we are not liable for interruptions caused by third parties (for example the venue's internet connection).

Song requests (tips)

If a DJ turns requests on, the crowd can suggest a song and pay an amount. A request is only a suggestion, and every payment is a tip to the DJ, not a purchase.

• The DJ receives the money directly in their own Stripe account and is the seller of record of the payment.
• Be the DJ takes no fee or share and is not part of the payment.
• The DJ has no obligation to play anything.
• The DJ may keep the tip without playing the requested song; that is the DJ's decision and the DJ's responsibility.
• The DJ may decline a request and refund it.
• Each DJ handles their own taxes and receipts.
• Any dispute about a tip is between the person who paid and the DJ.
