Privacy policy

The data controller is Be the DJ. We keep only what the service needs.

DJs

Name, email, password (hashed), settings, logo, option library and poll history. Payment details are processed by Paddle.com (Merchant of Record); we never see them.

The crowd

To allow one vote per phone, we store an anonymous device id (cookie and local storage) and the IP address with each vote. We don't ask the crowd for a name or email, and we use no advertising cookies.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists. When an account is deleted, its polls and votes are deleted too.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at accounts@bthedj.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Greece: the Hellenic Data Protection Authority).

Song requests

For song requests, when someone sends a request we store the song text, the link (and its title, read from YouTube or Spotify), the note, the amount, the status and the Stripe ids (session, payment, refund). We store no card details: Stripe is the payment processor and holds them. Requests are kept while the DJ's account exists and are deleted with it (the payments stay in the DJ's own Stripe account).
